Storybook Theatre, Friday, July 3 at 11am presents “Happy Birthday, USA: 250 Years of Freedom” by Dr. Julia Ann Robertson. We’re celebrating our country’s special birthday with a book that takes us on a journey through America’s story, highlighting the dreams, courage, values, unity, and hope that are part of our history.
Storybook Theatre, Friday, July 10 at 11am presents “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic” by Jimmy Kennedy. Today is Teddy Bear Picnic Day, and it’s National Picnic Month…so this story is perfect to celebrate both! It’s based on the popular teddy bear song and gives us a peek into the fun world of teddies.
Author Svetlana Perry will be our special guest at Storybook Theatre on Friday, July 17, from 11:00am to 12:15pm. She will read “Anfisa Plants a Rock: A Gentle Nature Story for Curious Kids” on stage; and that will be immediately followed by a meet and greet, where she will sell and sign her books until 12:15pm
Storybook Theatre, Friday, July 24 at 11am presents “The Three Little Superpigs” by Claire Evans. After getting the upper hand over the Big Bad Wolf, the three pigs turn to fighting crime and living the life of superheroes. However, when the villainous wolf returns to Fairyland, will The Three Little Superpigs be able to save the day?
Storybook Theatre, Friday, July 31 at 11am presents “Pigeon Double Feature”. Today we’re enjoying two funny stories by Mo Willems featuring one of Miss Jan’s favorite picture book characters, “The Pigeon.” Each story highlights Pigeon’s unique, persistent, and hilarious personality! 1) The Pigeon Wants a Puppy! The Pigeon REALLY, REALLY wants a puppy…but is that a good idea? 2) The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog! The Pigeon can’t wait to eat his hotdog…but should he share it?
