Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, May 3rd presents “Bread and Honey” by Frank Asch. Bear paints a picture of his mother at school. On his way home all of his friends suggest how he can make the painting even better. The resulting portrait is very unique, but will Mama Bear like it?
Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, May 17th presents an author visit with the Bee Lady, Ally Smith who will read “Bee”coming a Queen: How Honeybees Choose Their Queen Bee”. In explaining the process of picking the queen, this story shows that bees truly understand the importance of teamwork, patience, and dedication…a great lesson for all of us! Ally will be reading her book on stage at 11:00am followed by a meet-and-greet, where she will sell and sign her books until 12:15. She will be bringing some special “buzzing” guests along with her for families to observe.
Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, May 24th presents “All the Wonderful Ways to Read” by Laura Baker. It’s Get Caught Reading Month. This story celebrates the joy and power of books and encourages us to read everything, everywhere, and any way we choose!
Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, May 31st presents “The Artist” by Ed Vere. It’s Get Caught Reading Month. This inspiring story introduces us to a brave little artist who shares her creative spirit with the world, all the time spreading beauty and the message that coloring outside the lines is okay and that “Art is full of heart!”
