Artist Boat has educational four hour Eco-Art Kayak Adventures every weekend. In the summer, they also offer free interpretive beach tours that answer many questions visitors have about Galveston Beaches.

The Bayou Preservation Association focuses on four key programs to accomplish its mission to “celebrate, protect and restore the natural richness of all our bayous and streams.” Cross-cutting projects and initiatives – those that address the goals of more than one program – also continue, such as the annual Symposium, public policy review and response, and communications tools.

We have recreational and competitive rock climbing teams. Teams focus on the fundamentals of climbing along with fun fitness. We also offer climbing classes that teach adults the basics of climbing and advanced techniques needed to enjoy climbing.

Camera/photography lessons are bite-sized and taught at the beginning of the play date so that you can practice while the children play. There is plenty of time for questions and one-on-one assistance and encouragement so that you leave successful!

The Meadow Center's outdoor educational programs engage visitors of all ages, teaching them about the significance of water to all living organisms and the importance of preserving our natural resources through environmental education.
The Texas Zoo is now offering WildTots for children ages 1-4; Zoo Squad designed for your homeschoolers ages 4-18; and S.T.E.A.M will explore how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math affect the animal world!
