Bat Fest | Kids Out and About Houston

Bat Fest

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 09/17/2022
Bats do so much for us that we think they deserve a whole day of celebration! The Houston Arboretum is proud to announce its first annual Bat Fest in honor of our mosquito-eating, pest-controlling, pollinating, and seed-dispersing bat superheroes. Visit booths from community partners like Houston Bat Team and Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition to learn more about Houston’s 11 bat species, how they help humans, and how we can help them. There will be fun bat-themed activities, crafts for kids, live animals, as well as a blood drive with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Keep the bat fun going after hours by joining us for Going Batty from 6:30 – 8:30 pm!
