Birding for Beginners

Come learn what birds can be found at Lake Houston Wilderness Park! This is an entry level class. We will teach you the basics of birding, go over common birds with their songs, and then take you on a short hike to see what we can find. Meet at the Joe Turner Nature Center in Lake Houston Wilderness Park. This public program is for groups with less than 15 people. If your group is more than 15, please contact Katharine.LeBoeuf@houstontx.gov to schedule a program of your choice at a different time.

All children under the age of 13 are free. There is no cost for the program, but adults/teachers do still have to pay the entrance fee of $3 with exception of military with an ID and anyone over the age of 65.
