Butterfly Day at The Bryan

The Bryan Museum’s gardens are the perfect place to learn about butterflies! As a monarch waystation, the gardens at the museum host native plants that attract the butterflies, and hundreds grace the grounds each year. This event will host butterfly and garden activities for families with children ages 4-12.

Tickets – Free with Reservation for children (4-12)
Adults/Parents – Regular Museum Admission Price
Free outside activities include:
- Seed balls that families can make and then take home to plant in their yards. (The seed balls are comprised of flower seeds, compost, water, and clay)
- Rainbow butterfly hunt – Families can search for oversized brightly colored butterflies hidden all over the grounds
- Stages of Life matching game – children will learn about the stages of a butterfly’s life with this matching game that shows 3d models of eggs, a caterpillar, a chrysalis, and a butterfly.
- Families will have the opportunity to explore the grounds including taking a closer look at the butterfly waystation.
