March for Monarchs

The Houston Botanic Garden’s March for Monarchs will take participants on a journey from Mexico to the Northern United States, as they follow the route of the monarch butterflies’ northern migration, to their summer breeding grounds. Along the way they will face challenges and obstacles, and receive rewards. At each station, they will learn everyday things they can do to help protect monarchs on their long journey.

The Houston Botanic Garden’s March for Monarchs will take participants on a journey from Mexico to the Northern United States, as they follow the route of  the monarch butterflies’ northern migration, to their summer breeding grounds. Along the way they will face challenges and obstacles, and receive rewards. At each station, they will learn everyday things they can do to help protect monarchs on their long journey. The event will culminate with a backyard celebration, welcoming the monarchs to their Northern breeding grounds. There will be food, sweets, crafts, games, and info on how to make YOUR backyard a wonderful home for monarchs.

Tickets are $15

March for Monarchs tickets include general admission to the Garden. Members can use their general admission benefit(s) to attend free of charge.
