World Elephant Day at the Houston Zoo

Come celebrate World Elephant Day at the Houston Zoo! Find out more about the Houston Zoo’s ten Asian elephants: Thailand, Methai, Shanti, Tess, Tucker, Tupelo, Baylor, Duncan, Joy and our newest addition, Tilly!

Wear gray on your Zoo visit to show your support and get an opportunity to check out the inside of the Elephant Barn from 10:30am -1:30pm. See and have a chance to purchase artwork done by our Pachyderm Picassos. Learn all about elephant poop and how it helps our ecosystem. Plus, talk with our Zookeepers about conservation efforts and what YOU can do to help save them in the wild!
