All the fun of a campfire gathering – in the daytime! Come explore the beautiful wide-open spaces of George Ranch Historical Park and experience fun activities for all ages at each of our historic homes. You can gather round the 1830’s campfire, sip a traditional Mexican hot cocoa, and enjoy the music of singing cowboy, Smokey Culver. And we’ll be “spicing it up at Christmas” with a spice cookie baking experience and lesson about the influence of Prince Albert’s Germanic holiday traditions in the 1860’s. Be sure to try your hand at creating beautiful Victorian ornaments at the Davis Mansion and don’t miss talking with the blacksmith about the tradition of metal toy making in the late 1800’s. Round out your experience with a stop at the George Ranch House for a traditional 1930’s house party, complete with a barber shop quartet! Our cowboys will still be working the cattle and on hand to offer roping and sorting shows, too. Bring the family for a great day that will get everyone in the holiday mood! Park attendance is limited, so buy your tickets early.
